Privacy policy

Last updated 31 October 2026

NeuronX Research Private Limited runs NeuronX Docs as part of AutoScale. This policy describes what Docs collects, why, where it’s kept, and how you export or delete it.

1. Who this covers

  • Employees of a company that uses AutoScale, who sign in with their AutoScale account.
  • Contacts: people outside that company whom an employee invites to a document.
  • Visitors to this website.

For documents, your company is responsible for the information its people put in them. We process it on your company’s behalf.

2. Information we collect

  • Account details from AutoScale sign-in: name, work email, company, and role.
  • Contact details an employee enters to invite someone: name, email, and organization. The contact is saved in the company’s AutoScale account.
  • Documents: the text, images, comments, and suggestions you write, and the files you upload.
  • The authorship record: who wrote or changed each part of a document, and when. This is how the Authorship view works.
  • AI requests: when someone asks AutoScale for help, the request, the suggestion, and who accepted or rejected it.
  • Usage information: features used and performance measurements, without document content or titles.

3. How we use it

  • To run Docs: save, sync, share, and export your documents.
  • To show who wrote what, and to check references against public scholarly indexes.
  • To answer requests you make to AutoScale.
  • To send invites and notifications: in Relay for employees, and by email for contacts.
  • To keep Docs secure and fix problems.

4. Where documents are stored

[TO SUPPLY, open item 19: the hosting provider and the region where documents and backups are stored]

5. AI processing

Text you send to AutoScale is processed by these providers: [TO SUPPLY, open item 19: each AI provider, what it receives, and its data terms]

[TO SUPPLY, open item 19: whether any provider may use document content to train models]

Company admins can turn AI off for the whole company, and document owners can turn it off for a document. [TO SUPPLY, open item 7: whether contacts can use AI help]

6. Who can see a document

Only the people it’s shared with. Contacts see only the documents they’re invited to, and admins can block sharing outside the company. We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t use your documents for advertising.

7. Exporting and deleting your data

  • Anyone who can download a document can export it as PDF, DOCX, LaTeX, or HTML.
  • A document’s owner can delete it with its history.
  • Company admins can export or delete the company’s documents. [TO SUPPLY, open item 19: how long deleted documents stay in backups]

8. Cookies

Docs uses a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a small cookie, nx_docs_signed_in, that takes you straight to your documents when you visit this site. Neither is used for advertising.

9. Changes to this policy

We post changes on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
